Temple of Democracy

AmerAsia ReportSeptember 24 2023 | San Clemente California ….. The world’s oldest constitution, still in use today, is The Constitution of The United States. A True Democracy is Far More stable than systems controlled by Kings, Queens, Dictators, Autocrats masquerading as Presidents. Governmental power resides in the People, not the King. And, the People consent/agree to be governed by officials elected from and by the People. Consent of the Governed, think of that, A true bottom Up model, the opposite of top Down control ……….. Four historical documents underpin Democracy’s Temple: the Magna Carta, signed in 1215, The Declaration of Independence, signed in 1776, The Constitution of The United States, signed in 1787, and the Bill of Rights, signed in 1791. The last three of which created three independent branches of government still in use today; First, the Presidential Branch, Then the Legislative branch followed by the Judicial branch. All three are separate and equal in their powers creating a system of “checks and balances” whereby No single person, no cabal, no government branch can fully control anything. Looks like chaos, tastes like heaven. Having rejected monarchies, dictators and the like, The Founders of U.S. democracy knew power well breaking power up, so that no one can control the people ………. “The accumulation of all powers, legislative, executive and judiciary, in the hands of one, a few, or many, and whether hereditary, self-appointed, or elected, may justly be pronounced the very definition of tyranny.” – James Madison, 1787. “Democracy, is essential to the protection of property and to the security of liberty against the enterprises and assaults of ambition, of faction, and of anarchy – Alexander Hamilton, 1788. Democracy, Freedom - The New Religion - is alive, well and growing far into the 21st century and beyond. The same cannot be said of short lived, one man rule.
