#Free Jimmy Lai
San Clemente California | January 13 2026 ………. China’s Mr. Jimmy Lai has been hunted, captured, incarcerated by the Communist Party of China controlling Hong Kong and, it appears, he will soon be sentenced to Life in Prison or worse. Mr. Lai is 78 years of age, born in the Amazing China province of Guandong, December 8 1947; two years after the horrific world war II ended. In that war, as much as 40% of mainland China was occupied or controlled by hostile neighbor forces: Japan and Russia. 1948, the year found China at the bottom of the global order, fighting off revolution and soon, starvation, with average annual incomes of $27USD/year and a China GDP listed at $500B. Difficult circumstances to be sure……….. 2019, Mr. Jimmy Lai, born poor, to a hardworking, intelligent, farmer family, made his way, somehow, to Hong Kong where he became a Global Icon and Symbol of personal global success, all thanks to individual talent, hard work, a bit of luck (luck is the residue of design where preparedness meets opportunity) AND a “country”, Hong Kong, supportive of individual liberty. Jimmy became
lucky indeed; Jimmy founded the global clothing line, Giordano, and the beloved Hong Kong newspaper “Apple Daily”………. You see, Jimmy knows knowledge and freedom are power. And, he wants his people, his country, his world to be powerful, beautiful even. We, the people, form a nation, and our leaders are to serve the Will of the People. Freely elected by the citizenry, the bond between the populous and its’ leaders is sacrosanct. When leaders back their people, nations prosper. When leaders conspire, control, shackle, jail, maim and tame its' people, the nation suffers. With a bit of knowledge, will and freedom humans can do anything we set our minds too………. Just like Jimmy, showing all of us, in real time with no safety net, the VITAL importance of liberty, justice and freedom. Without Lady Liberty and Lady Justice, there can be no Jimmy Lai. And, without Jimmy Lai, Free in the world, there can be no great China or, a great world.
